ITW Welding continues to build upon its test capabilities for printed circuit boards. To support the effort, we are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to be a key driver of the ITW business model and principals. This position is key in achieving maximum throughput and utilization for the Flying Probe and In-Circuit testers while ensuring the shipment of high-quality production boards. This position requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with engineering teams, marketing, and product management to develop innovative and reliable products to serve our customer needs. The primary responsibility of this position will be developing and maintaining Flying Probe and In-Circuit tests along with providing detailed design for test feedback.
Essential Functions:
. Ownership of the Flying Probe Testing process
. Develop and support Flying Probe Tests on a Takaya 1400F
. Develop and support in-circuit tests on a Teradyne GR228x and Keysight 3070
. Provide Flying Probe and in-circuit test quotes
. Provide design for test feedback and encourage best practices
. Develop and maintain library models
. Responsible for machine diagnostics, maintenance, and 3rd party supplier relationships
. Test fixture maintenance and modification
. Support NCN and component issue resolution as needed
. Participate in project meetings and be responsible for assigned action items
. Ensure adherence to quality standards and project deliverables
. Mentor test technicians to strengthen the bench strength
Minimum Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
. 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer
. Experience developing Flying Probe Tests
. Understanding of both digital and analog circuits
. Experience using text-based programming languages to develop tests
. This individual must be a self-starter and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Willing to travel to CM partner facilities as needed
Additional Qualifications Preferred
. Experience developing and maintaining functional tests
. Programming experience in VB, C#, and embedded C
. Understanding of the circuit board manufacturing process
