This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an OV Document Control Operator for our Atlanta, GA Transportation team. The WSP Atlanta office serves clients from around the state on a wide variety of projects ranging from turn lanes and widening, roundabouts, intersection improvements and bridge replacements to urban interchange reconstructions and large design-build projects. The selected candidate will on GDOT projects on a regular basis, so experience with GDOT projects is beneficial. This position is an excellent opportunity to continue to enhance design and production skills and build relationships within WSP as well as with a large number of clients around the state.
Your Impact
Responsible for verifying all submittal content, distributing to designated Project Management Team members for review, and uploading all return documentation.
Formats, numbers, distributes, and tracks Project correspondence.
Oversees the daily administration, monitoring, and performance of contract compliance and document control.
Tracks and verifies Developer Submittal Obligations are being fulfilled.
Verifies accurate Project Records are being kept up to date and consistent with accepted quality procedures and verifies documents are distributed according to document management protocols and archived in appropriate document management system.
Supports final Project close-out effort and arching.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
1 to 3 years of experience in transportation and infrastructure projects or or high school graduate with minimum four (4) years of secretarial and/or clerical experience.
Ability to type at a rate of thirty-five (35) correct words per minute.
Experienced in the use of standard word processing software.
Should exercise independent initiative to help relieve the supervisor of clerical detail.
Work under general supervision of the OV Office Engineer and their staff.
Proficient with e-BuilderR and familiar with other GDOT's approved software that may include, Atser's Assure-IT.
