Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician III to perform foreign materiel exploitation (FME) of threat air defense and missile systems, including detailed system and subsystem analysis and reverse engineering, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, and test design and execution. You must have technical knowledge of electrical and electronic systems and be capable of interpreting complex diagrams. The position requires extensive hands-on work on foreign hardware, varying from small/delicate or damaged components to much more comprehensive, complete systems.

Job Description :
Individuals will directly support task leads in the execution of complex engineering projects. Specific duties include:
Circuit-level analysis, subsystem-level test and evaluation, system-level operations, maintenance and repair, technical documentation, and reporting.
The position requires hands-on work, sometimes involving small/delicate or damaged components.
Limited (<10%) CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required.
Required Clearance :
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an ACTIVE Secret Clearance
TOP SECRET//SCI preferred.
Required Education & Experience :
Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent related training/certification if applicable) and 5+ years experience.
You must have technical knowledge of HWIL, Electronics, Test Systems, or other relevant skills.
Ability to read schematics; fabricate electrical cables/test rigs/HWIL systems from engineering drawings; use standard test equipment, including multi-meters/oscilloscopes/network analyzers for troubleshooting/repair.
Mature judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively interact with team personnel and customer representatives.
Preferred Experience
Formal training/work experience in air defense and missile systems will be given preference.
Military experience in these highly desirable skills will also be given preference: Avionics repair, Elector optical/infrared sensor repair, Electronics troubleshooting/repair on military systems, Electromagnetic Warfare, and Higher Echelon Electronics repair.
Knowledge of military weapon systems and ground support equipment.
Knowledge of advanced software packages such as Altium and HTML-based word processing.
Advanced capability to operate Microsoft Office software suite.
Laser and EO/IR operations.
HazMat Operations Training
Design and fabrication include welding, machining, CNC, and 3-D printing.
Capable of independently developing operational and test procedures and documenting results in formal reports.
Experience planning and conducting test operations in austere field environments.
