The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Risk Analyst Lead - Bank with a strong background in Authentication Programs and expertise in bank authentication tools, solutions, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations, along with experience in Operational Risk Programs and SLOD risk. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.

What you'll do:
Identifies and seeks key partners across the enterprise to support the identification, assessment, aggregation and the overall management of risks and controls.
Presents findings and recommendations to various levels of leadership.
Routinely communicates results of risk assessments to governance committees, business process owners and various levels of leadership and influences decision making.
Develops process and procedures for successful implementation of new risk policies, practices, appetites and solutions to ensure comprehensive understanding and management of risks according to industry standard process.
Develops strategies, tools, and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report risks.
Applies experienced knowledge to use or produce analytical material for discussions with cross functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies.
Leads, assembles and facilitates cross-functional teams to identify, assess, aggregate and mitigate current and emerging risk events.
Serves as the point of contact for senior risk leadership on projects and special management requests that often impact the enterprise or core operating area.
Formulates and reviews stress test plans for a line of business or the enterprise.
Evaluates results, and frames contingency plans in partnership with key business partners.
Crafts key communications to be delivered to executives and board members.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
8 years of risk management, regulatory or operations experience in a relevant functional area to include banking, insurance, financial services, audit, project management, public accounting or other related operational area.
Or advanced degree/designation in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or other field relevant to risk management and 6 years of work experience in a field relevant to risk management.
Detailed risk management experience in a complex institution and/or highly matrixed environment.
Proven experience in conflict resolution management and ability to effectively challenge at all levels of management and influence business outcomes.
Experience leading and advising work with both internal and external partners in a highly collaborative environment.
Proven critical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques and decision-making abilities, to include proven track record to effectively make data-driven decisions.
Proactively identifies potential concerns and follows-up to resolve issues.
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of federal regulation 12 CFR Part 30, including Appendices A and D and with federal supervisory guidance, to include:
OCC Documents: Large Bank Supervision Handbook; OCC Safety and Soundness Handbooks - Internal Controls, Corporate & Risk Governance, Retail Lending; and key OCC bulletins - Model Risk Governance, Model Risk Management, New Products and Services Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, Technology Risk Management, Stress Testing, and Operational Risk
Federal Reserve Documents: Consolidated Supervision Framework for Large Financial Institutions; Federal Reserve Board Bank Holding Company Supervision Manual
FFIEC Manuals and Handbooks to include: Banking, General understanding of federal laws, rules, and regulations, to include: CRA; ECOA; FCRA; MLA; SCRA; Regulation DD; Regulation E; Regulation Z; BSA/AML; and UDAP/UDAAP

What sets you apart:
5+ Years Fraud Risk Experience
Experience coordinating across lines of business and influencing risk decisions
Knowledge of Authentication Programs including laws, rules, regulations
Knowledge of Industry Best Practices for Authentication Programs
Knowledge and experience in Bank Authentication tools and solutions
Experience coordinating across lines of business and influencing risk decisions
Experience with OCC Heightened Standards and implementation of these expectations across large banks as part of a Risk Governance Framework
Experience with development risk management frameworks and key components including risk appetite metrics, key risk indicators, operational losses, stress testing and scenario analysis
Experience defining and setting risk appetite approaches and limit methodologies.
Consistent record to lead projects successfully with minimal direction.
Experience preparing and delivering accurate and concise meeting materials for senior leadership and regulatory audiences
Validated understanding and experience in leading and/or performing core Operational Risk Programs (e.g., RCSA, Issues Management, Metrics, Issues Management).
Critical thinking ability and ability to understand risk management principles.
Industry certifications such as ABA, CFE, ACAMS are desired but not required

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $138,230 - $264,200 .
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
