Job Description:
As an Assembler Team Lead at Anchor Coupling Inc. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.), you will be critical to the management of the process. The Team Lead is a working member of the team. This position leads and supports a team of 5 to 10 people. The role of the team lead is to help team members be successful at meeting safety requirements, quality levels, talk time requirements and performance goals.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Helping train new Team Members with on the job training
Filling in for absent Team Members or other Team Leads
Responding to Andons
Help resolve issues related to safety, quality, velocity and cost. This can range from material shortages to tooling problems
Participating and Leading continuous improvement teams including RCCA and certification teams.
Collecting data and updating metric boards as needed
Conducting Performance Improvement Dialogues at the cell level
Helping create and update Standard Work
Monitoring the process to make sure that standard work is being followed
Work safety at ALL times and comply with safety regulations
Keep work area, equipment, storage area, etc., clean and orderly at all times
Offer suggestions relative to improving work process, procedures, productivity, job safety or work environment
Work Environment
Job requires the ability to stand or walk 10 - 12 hours
Ability to frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15 to 30 minutes
Basic Qualifications:
2 years manufacturing experience
1 year of SAP experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Previous leadership experience
Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office software applications and SAP software
Critical thinking skills
Additional Information:
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 7:30PM- 5:30AM, Monday-Thursday
