_SUMMARY:_ Reporting to the Director of Human Resources-Commercial, you'll provide BOTH strategic and tactical professional HR support to managers and employees. In any given day you'll consult with leaders on organizational challenges, labors relations topics, oversee personnel transactions, counsel employees or managers in policy and practice, all while driving measurable improvement in specific areas of our HR scorecard. _OBJECTIVES:_ * Collect, analyze and use people-based data to influence, make and support critical decisions regarding our organizational process of attracting, retaining and developing talent. * Identify and solve workforce issues including conducting investigations, coaching and counseling managers and employees through various performance-based policies and practices. * Develops, recommends and assists with the implementation of new HR and business initiatives, projects, procedures and documentation. * Understand, monitor and communicate the "pulse" of engagement at individual, departmental and organizational levels. *DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Provide daily support and guidance to employees and managers on HR related matters. * Drive measurable improvement in key HR scorecard metrics. * Positive interaction with all levels of the organization, as well as, travel up to 5% within the domestic US. * Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. _KEY RELATIONSHIPS:_ * US Regional Distribution and Direct employees and management * Corporate employees and Management _EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_** * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field * 5+ years demonstrated business partner and employee relations experience * Demonstrated ability to positively influence others, ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers * Experience negotiating and or administering union contracts for small to mid-sized sites * Experience in a multi- site or distribution environment is desirable * Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines * Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business and operational priorities and human resources activities. * Demonstrated analytical skills, strong bias for action and keen sense of urgency * Requires familiarity with federal and state regulations including FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ADA and EEO. * Strong communications skills: interpersonal, oral and written * Requires a thorough understanding of Excel, Word, and experience with an HRIS system Recruiters: Please note that Associated Materials, Alside and any of its affiliated companies does not seek or accept unsolicited resumes or offers of recruiting service associated with any published or unpublished employment opportunities.
