Job Description:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations, and may require specific trade certifications.
Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Primary responsibilities:
Maintain and repair the facility's structure, equipment, and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
Install, align, dismantle, and move plant equipment in conformance with plant and facility layout.
Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair, or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures.
Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Responsible for the quality of own work, for care of tools, and removal of waste and surplus after job completion.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Must be able to work on lifts and ladders, lift over 50 pounds, and work in extreme temperature and high humidity conditions either inside or outside the building as necessary.
Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Use of common precision measuring instruments and gauges
ISO9001 / AS9100 experience
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Good communication skills and teamwork
