Summary You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (DATAMGT) in the Transportation and Distribution Optimization Department, Transportation and Distribution Directorate of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will oversee and optimize database performance. You will design and develop complex database tables. You will design, implement and maintain data mining, data warehousing, data dictionaries, and other data management tools and data services to provide access to information that may have been previously unavailable for analysis. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues relative to database management systems including configurations, schema, resource allocations, performance and application interfaces into those data systems. You will install and test new instances and/or applies updates as appropriate and ensure quality of data. You will design and develop queries, merge data tables working with various software and applications to interface and gather information, both real-time and delayed in order to improve the ability of analysts to disseminate and analyze information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Design, implement and maintain data mining, data warehousing, data dictionaries, and other data management tools and data services to provide access to information that may have been previously unavailable for analysis; 2) Design develop and oversee complex database tables; 3) Troubleshoot and resolve issues relative to database management systems including configurations, schema, resource allocations, performance and application interfaces into those data systems; and 4) Design and develop queries, merge data tables working with various software and applications to interface and gather information, both real-time and delayed in order to improve the ability of analysts to disseminate and analyze information.
