Job Description:
To develop and implement new and improved prime product testing processes, IPV processes, equipment, and training methods that improve safety, quality and reduce manufacturing costs.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develops, analyzes and managers Manufacturing / Assembly projects. Assists in developing department capital and expense budgets.
Administers the assembly NPI process to ensure that Engineering drawings are released and processed on time for NPI build.
Trains new processors and develops training programs for processors and assemblers.
Engages in creative problem solving to address operational issues including: ergonomic / safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns.
Works with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost effective systems and processes to produce quality products.
Provides the application, procurement, processing, installation and capability of new IPV, sound test, prime product test, torque tooling, fluids processes and equipment.
Provides manufacturing technical support in process control and internal certification.
Coordinates the purchase and application of machine tools, controls and related equipment to ensure the latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and of operations.
Designs complex or intricate jigs and fixtures.
Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years' experience in manufacturing
3+ years' experience in Prime Product Testing
Top Candidates will also have:
Bachelor's degree in related field
Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, fluids management, and IPV controls, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understands the fundamentals of quality systems, engineering standards and specification, manufacturing practices and specifications, IPV control methods, BiQ methodology, and testing processes and procedures.
Experience with Capital and Project Management

The primary location for this position is East Peoria, IL
