The Role: Sensus is a leading provider of technology solutions to the utility industry. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Sales team to cover states in the Southeast of the US. Our solutions are unique, only FlexNet delivers primary-use, FCC licensed spectrum, which guarantees an uncluttered, crystal clear path for transmissions!

The Director of Sales, Gas is a strategic part of a dynamic account sales team. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for direct sales and solution selling to large accounts.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Outbound direct solution sales to electric, gas and water utilities

  • Target revenue contribution of $30 million per year growing to $50 million per year.

  • Engage, develop, win, negotiate, and close new utility contracts for Sensus AMI Gas solution.

  • Achieve and exceed target revenue quota quarterly and annually

  • Responsible for attracting new utility customers to Sensus AMI solution.

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • BS or BA in Engineering, Business or other technical field. MBA desired.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent understanding of AMI systems and the utility industry.

  • 10-15 years of utility experience including of management of AMI system implementation with gas utility knowledge a plus.

  • Progressive track record of direct sales of complex systems to end users.

  • Progressive track record of achieving high rates of new account wins with contract values exceeding $20 Million.

  • Progressive track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
