The Role : Diesel Mobile Technician is responsible for trouble-shooting, maintaining, servicing and repairing pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in the shop or at a customer job site.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental.
Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends.
Commercial Driver License B - Preferred
Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.
Repair damaged equipment.
Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment
Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems.
Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
3-5 years of diesel experience and/or training or combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Commercial Driver License B - Preferred
Diagnosing basic mechanical problems
General DC electric and circuit testing skills
General diesel engine component location and identification
Safety practices and procedures
Basic mechanical aptitude
