We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate to join the IT team supporting the SAP Finance Domain. The ideal candidate is an individual who initially worked on the business side at one time, has SAP Finance functional experience within IT, working knowledge of other Finance-related systems such as Concur, Taulia, and Blackline, and has progressively taken on additional projects responsibilities during their career.

Required:

  • 12 years or more of broad ECC 6.0 FI-CO experience, including full lifecycle project implementations (both large and small), SAP upgrades and continuous improvement projects

  • 5 years or more SAP Accounts Payable (FI-AP and MM-LIV) in-depth application + configuration experience, including vendor master setup, automatic payments, electronic bank statement (EBS) setup, advance payments, input tax, withholding tax, evaluated receipt settlement invoicing (ERS), vendor managed inventory (VMI), intercompany stock transfer processing (ICTO) and experience working with bank interfaces

  • 5 years or more SAP ECC 6.0 New GL experience including profit centers & hierarchy configuration & maintenance, financial operations processes and concepts, currency revaluation & translation, document splitting, non-leading ledger, substitutions / validations, functional area usage, financial close and consolidations, intercompany processing, account determination, internal order settlement, US and/or regional requirements.

  • Experience and knowledge in Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting process, including financial close

  • 3 years or more working experience with ECC 6.0 FI-FA, and associated submodule integration. Relevant areas include Fixed Asset accounting processes surrounding capital expenditures, chart of depreciation, asset classes, depreciation area, depreciation keys, account determination, internal order settlement, capitalization of CIP projects, intracompany and intercompany transfers, asset life cycle management (acquisition, management, deployment and retirement), legacy asset transfer and its prerequisite configuration, FA-GL reconciliation, fixed asset period/year end closing tasks.

  • Integration experience working with upstream Materials Management processes such as Purchasing, Logistics and Account Determination; understanding of Procure-to-Pay process

  • Experience writing functional specifications for interfaces and custom programs/reports, working with technical programmer to analyze defects and propose solutions

  • Must have experience promoting changes to production and associated methodology, including writing and executing test plans

  • Must be highly analytical: can breakdown issues, systemically think through an issue, and identify root cause

  • Ability to learn quickly and must be a team player

  • Must be self-starter and proactive, ability to work independently including managing deliverables/tickets, prioritize and multi-task with minimal guidance

  • Must have strong organizational skills and eagerness to drive deliverables/tickets to closure

  • Must possess excellent English verbal and written skills: active listener and have ability to clearly communicate ideas and solutions to different groups within the company (IT and business)

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience working with Sovos / Taxware for US sales & use tax calculations

  • Experience with 3rd party tools using EDI/IDOC/ALE/BAPI/RFC/Connectors

  • Functional knowledge of MDG and Dynpro forms

  • Working knowledge and experience of Business Intelligence, including experience with writing specs for BI reports, validating and testing of BI/BO Reports

  • Working experience on the intercompany process.

  • Proficient with MS Office suite: MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, etc.

  • Experience working with integrations to external 3rd party applications such as Concur, Taulia, Fieldglass, etc.

Nice to Have:

  • Functional experience with SAP security roles and troubleshooting access issues

  • Self-sufficient in debugging ABAP programs

  • Knowledge and/or work experience with SAP HR, especially integration with vendor master

  • SAP certification (note: certification number may be verified)

  • Knowledge in new Asset Accounting

  • Experience in BCS or Group Reporting

  • Knowledge and/or training in S4 Hana

Key Responsibilities

Negotiate with customers to design solutions to address complex cross functional needs. Identifies BKM's for integrated solution design and standards; Keeps abreast of technologies in the market and preform technology evaluations, as required. Works with multiple vendors for high quality resources and competitiveness

Perform and document software application configuration and/or coding, prepare and execute testing (unit, integration, performance, acceptance) and data conversions using standard tools and following established processes and guidelines. Supervises work of contract developers. Perform Quality assurance.

Monitors specific IT systems or set of systems for availability and performance and reports anomalies through predefined process. Participate in evaluation/recommendation of patches, point releases, major upgrades, and new systems.

Provides and/or oversees support services to GIS customers for specific IT service or set of services. Adheres to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction. Completes root cause analysis of outages or incident trends (often working with managed services partner). Recommends preventative actions

Plan and manage projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with established processes and guidelines and guardrails of scope, timeline, budget and quality

Mentors and trains team members in product functionality, development and testing guidelines, tools, and methodologies
