The individual will work directly with the Welding Engineer evaluating arc performance to contribute to developing and quantifying welding power supplies. They will develop optimum welding parameters, and they will support sales representatives and customers through calls and emails.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform various welding tests to assist welding engineers in evaluating arc performance.

  • Develop optimum welding parameters for SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes and collect data from basic metallurgical analysis of welded samples.

  • Support sales representatives and customers with application questions, equipment setup, and equipment recommendations.

  • Must be actively pursuing with tentative graduation date set, or already possess an Associate's Degree, or Certificate in Welding Technology and have the ability to perform all duties mentioned above.

  • Must have broad knowledge and skillset of common welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW) and willingness to expand knowledge.

  • Must have the ability to examine welding processes from a theoretical and hands on perspective.

  • Must be able to perform on an individual basis as well as working within a team setting.
