The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an immediate opening for a Task Area Lead as part of a team supporting the (DTRA) Defense Threat Reduction Agency RD Directorate and DTRA Experimentation Laboratory (DEL) program in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The Task Area Lead will assist the Task Order Manager as the interface for the government as well as provide overall leadership and guidance for the DTRA High Performance Computer Management Office (HPCMO) program personnel. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the delivery of computer network support services and shall have demonstrated capabilities to stabilize and modernize IT infrastructure and operations support operations. The Task Area Lead will have authority to commit resources and make decisions for the organization in response to Government concerns.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of the execution of the HPCMO program under the guidance of the DEL Task Order Manager.

  • Provides overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel, including assigning tasks to HPCMO contractor personnel and supervises ongoing technical efforts to meet the DEL programs operational, developmental and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Assists in managing program deliverables including budget, schedules, and performance, to include customer project and current issue reviews with the team.

  • Manages risks and proposes actions to the Task Order Manager to mitigate risks.

  • Reviews audits and implements corrective actions as needed.

  • Responsible for the quality and efficiency business processes.

  • Ensures strategic meetings, to include financial, technical, operational and cybersecurity related, are all scheduled, executed, with follow on actions recorded and tracked.

  • Holds authority to commit and make decisions for the contractor's organization in response to Government issues, concerns, and comments, and alerts the Government to potential contractual or programmatic and resource limitations issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years or prior relevant experience. Generally, has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

  • Current DoD Secret clearance.

  • Current, unexpired Security+ Continuing Education, CCISO, CISM, CISSP or GSLC.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience communicating (verbally and written) with higher level government personnel.

  • Experience explaining EACs to customer.

  • Top Secret DoD clearance.

  • Experience dealing with a highly technical team and ability to translate technical jargon for junior team members, government personnel and other customers.

  • PMP or ITILv3 Foundation.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
