As a Section Manager II, you will collaborate with the team and maintaining and improving processes and systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements
Specifically in this role you can expect to:
Monitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processes
Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules
Determines priorities and sequences jobs
Schedules and prioritizes constrained resources, and adjusts staff to meet flow and customer requirements
Determines and executes disciplinary action when appropriate
Ensures production material is procured and distributed to meet production schedules
Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination
Determine overtime needs and priorities when resources are insufficient.
Ensures preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule
Implements, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification and others
Evaluates, assess, identifies and leads the deployment of workforce training
Section Value Stream Mapping;
Actively deploys section value stream improvements
Develop and deploy standard work for each work area
Practices and teaches CPS Guiding Principles
Initiates and conducts process improvement dialogs with Team Leads and Team Members
Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement
Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics
Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures
Manage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipments
Report section status and monitors and audits related metrics
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic qualifications):
At least 3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience
At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience
Top candidates will also bring:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and tools, machine shop operations, equipment and processes
Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
Exhibit of critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative
Demonstrated knowledge of order to delivery, engineering and/or manufacturing principles
Familiar with company policies and procedures
