POSITION SUMMARY:iThe Maintenance Technician position involves working in the building maintenance crafts or trade areas required for maintaining parks, buildings, and City of Branson facilities.i Examples of work include maintenance, construction, building and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, mowing and maintenance of the grounds and athletic fields.i The work consists of a multitude of regular or assigned tasks, which vary from day to day.i This position works under the direct supervision of a Supervisor I and/or the Maintenance Superintendent.CLOSING DATE:i i i iUntil FilledWORK HOURS:i i i i iHours 9:00 am to 5:30 pm; Typical work-week schedule will be 1 weekend day and 4 weekdays.BENEFITS:i i i i i i i i iPlease click onithis linkifor benefits information.JOB DESCRIPTION:iiPlease click onithis linkifor the full job description.MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAININGi Must be at least 18 years of age.i A High School graduate or GED equivalent is required.ii A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license is required.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAININGi At least one (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, or grounds maintenance tasks is preferred.i Valid Class B CDL license is preferred.iii National Career Readiness Certificate is preferred.MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTSi Must be at least 18 years of age.i Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with the Parks and Recreation leadership in achieving those goals.i Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.ii Must demonstrate excellent customer service to those internal or external to the department.ii Must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the positionii Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.i Must fulfill I-9 identification requirements within the guidelines set forth by the Department of Homeland Security through the E-Verify system.
