Please note, this is a 6 month co-op opportunity running from January to June 2023 for those currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes you will be driving to during your assignment with the Global Demand Programs team?

  • Learn

  • Strategic planning and development of marquee event program

  • Significance of events within the customer life cycle journey

  • VMware systems and operational processes used in program setup, tracking and reporting

  • Hands On Work

  • Build an integrated event plan that includes pre- and post-event elements

  • Establish and execute on the event bill of materials, working with an agency

  • Create and/or refresh event playbook

  • Build or refine event reporting dashboard or template

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing?

This is a global role that sits within Global Demand Program team where we develop event frameworks and integrated marquee programs, build and package full event kits to enable Field Marketing teams in their communication and execution of the events. It is part of a strategic marketing team and is not an in-field, on the ground events execution role.

You will collaborate with a broad set of global and regional stakeholders including content providers, digital marketing experts, and marketing peers in the regions. Partnership and strong communication are strengths that will stand you in good stead. Project or program management skills, good organization, and a keen eye for detail are keys to success. Event experience is a plus.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build out event playbooks and bills of materials

  • Work with agencies to deliver full event kits

  • Partner with Localization team to translate established list of event assets

  • Compose event program readiness copy

  • Set up campaigns in Salesforce with prescribed tagging and attribution

  • Pull monthly and quarterly performance reports

  • Identify opportunities for campaign performance improvement

  • Contribute to writing and proofreading marketing copy

  • Participate in content development calls

  • Build an integrated event plan that includes pre- and post-event elements

What is the leadership like for this role?

The hiring manager for this role is Lee Tay, Director of Global Demand Programs. Lee has over 20+ years' experience in B2B enterprise marketing in the tech space and has led integrated marketing, enterprise and executive program teams through her career. She is a strong champion for her team and their success and takes the position of coach in her leadership style. Strategic planning and professional development time are set aside each week to ensure that team members can step away from the busyness of everyday to focus on their long range plans.

You will be joining a small high caliber team with a focus on supporting enterprise sales and field marketing through strategic programs and campaigns that drive pipeline, accelerate opportunities, and engage buying centers holistically. The team is geographically diverse and collaborates very closely with other teams in the global and field marketing teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

For New York City based candidates the hiring range for this position is typically $24.84- $24.84. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
