A Partner Solutions Architect on the Strategic Partners team is responsible for leading the technical relationship with one of our top partners in North America. A VMware Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) works collaboratively with partner business managers (PBMs), solution specialists and other partner resources to empower our partners to sell and deliver VMware solutions.
Success in this role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Learn the ins and outs of the solutions that our partners sell, help them understand how VMware solutions can solve their customer's challenges
Lean on your mentors for situational advice, technical questions, and career advice.
Have an innate curiosity for the technology that you work with, and the business processes in place. You can never ask too many questions!
We want you to offer a fresh perspective, we encourage you to identify gaps and areas we can improve upon as a team.
Build relationships with other stakeholders at VMware to develop a holistic understanding of the business and how you can make an impact.
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Own the technical side of the partner's relationship with VMware and increase their competency with VMware solutions
Collaborate with Partner Business Managers and marketing teams to drive partner sales and exceed partnership revenue goals
Increase partner sales and delivery capacity around key focus areas such as hybrid cloud, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), software-defined networking, modern applications and security.
Manage and grow the technical accreditations and certifications held by the partner.
Mentor and enable partner technical sellers on new VMware Cloud Solutions.
Develop Vision, Strategy and Roadmaps deliverables to meet technical solutions.
Participate in and drive elements of the pre-sales process to understand customer business, technical objectives, and product requirements.
Participate in regional marketing events to promote VMware and Partner strategy.
Author blogs, technical articles or white paper based on experiences
Speak at events such as VMworld, Sales Kick-Offs, Technical Summits etc.
Collaborate with the VMware Business Units to provide real-time feedback and trends to help drive accurate roadmaps based on partner and customer needs and objectives.
