HTNB is seeking motivated team player with an ability to deliver high quality work and contribute to a positive work environment to work on the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in Michigan
What You'll Do:
Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.
Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
Assists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within a discipline.
Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline. Guides and mentors team to overall project objectives.
Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Provides input on recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff, including developing a plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.
Responsible for coordinating schedules and approving timecards.
Aids in establishing employees' objectives and provides feedback from clients while coaching and mentoring their team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or
PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
Primary Focus will include:
Responsible for the production and delivery of transportation project reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Manages a design team assigned to a specific project task
Manages scope, schedule, and budget of a project task
Coordination between disciplines to ensure an integrated design and avoid conflicts
Serves as technical liaison with the client on project efforts
Serves as a design liaison during the construction of projects
Develop and mentor less experienced engineers
Performs quality reviews
Coordinate efforts of assigned team to ensure completeness and accuracy of design within budget and on schedule
Collaborate closely with the project manager, senior engineers and other discipline engineers
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in geometric layout, roadway modeling, and project delivery of infrastructure projects
Experience in mentoring and developing others
Strong delegations skills
Experience on MDOT and County design projects
Proficiency using Bentley design platforms
ProjectWise and Bluebeam Revu experience
Master's degree in Engineering
8 years relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
