The Test & Reliability Intern position with Hobart Food Machines is designed to give students the hands-on exposure to daily engineering operations, projects and research that impacts new product development, manufacturing, and product quality Food Machines is looking for a self-directed, results-oriented individual to help develop solutions benefiting the product line and department. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on in projects within software, electrical and mechanical disciplines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
. Begin to focus on specific operational, engineering, and quality processes
. Learn basic organizational and problem-solving skills and address a product concern
. Begin understanding of standards, procedures and practices
. Begin to build familiarity with products, testing, data collection and reporting.
. Enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree-seeking program
. GPA of 3.0 or above
. Experience with C/C++, QT and/or Python programming preferred
. Familiarity with circuit board designs
. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power Point, experience with pivot tables a plus
. Fast learner with capability to grow in a variety of laboratory projects
. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and technical knowledge
. Proactive in recognizing improvement opportunities
. Experience using basic hand tools
Other Requirements / Working Conditions
. Material Handling: Ability to lift, move, and manipulate up to 50 lbs.
. You will work in a team-oriented office and lab environment.
