As a Welder at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform welding functions to fabricate and repair parts, material, and equipment for tooling, maintenance and construction.* Research product developments
Repair welding equipment
Maintains regulators for hydrogen sulphide and oxygen therapy
Perform operations on a variety of material and parts using various welds
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Previous welding experience
Ability to work in a highly structured environment, strictly adhering to standard work instructions
Must be able to function as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area
Must be able to pass horizontal and vertical weld position qualification test during provided weld training
Desired Qualifications
Experience with manual MIG welding obtained through OJT or coursework
Experience with operating robotic welding systems
Experience with blueprint reading
