Overview
FTI is looking for a highly qualified and experienced acquisition professional to fill a critical Light Attack Aircraft (LAA) Program Acquisition Program Support/Business Analyst role at WPAFB, OH. This position supports Light Attack Aircraft (LAA) Program Office by serving as in an Advisory and Support role to the LAA Government Program Manager. This role can be located at the client site in Dayton, OH or possibly remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Duties include applying knowledge and experience in acquisition management and program support/management philosophy consistent with policies and procedures for Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities. Provide support in source selection activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
Successful individual will manage activities and interactions with the USAF, prime contractor, associate contractors, and other designated organizations and agencies related the establishment and sustainment of the LAA weapon system. Individual will assist the Government Program Manager by providing advisory and draft documentation support for major program reviews to ensure acquisition issues are properly addressed. The successful candidate will assist in meeting facilitation support for progress reviews and other meetings. These activities will require employment of integration, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning skills across a broad spectrum of functional disciplines.
Employee will performs a wide range of program management activities, such as: gathering program information; conducting analyses; assisting in acquisition strategy planning; assisting in pre-award and post-award document preparation; assisting in milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling; assisting in establishing and maintaining databases; assisting in developing and analyzing key program metrics; assisting in developing and integrating risk management plans and strategies; supporting program briefings; assisting in surveillance of weapon system prime contractor and subcontractor performance; assisting in determining program progress; and effectively communicating recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management. Some travel is involved with this position.
Education/Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance or have an Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to maintain
Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5 years' experience required
Experience in Business, Human Factors or Organizational Leadership desired
Master's Degree or post-graduate degree in a related field preferred
PMP or DAU PM Certifications a plus
Understanding of DoD Acquisition Program Management Office operations and organization preferred
Demonstrated superior technical skills or exceptional management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
Experience and demonstrated ability to:
Provide Action Plans to support execution of objectives through monitoring, organizing, planning, and executing activities
Assist the USG in business processes that enable the Air Force Acquisition Processes including but not limited to:
SOW/PWS development/modification
Funding requests/management
CDRL/Work product reviews
QASP/CPAR preparation and review
IMS buildout and updates
Must be able to travel up to 15-20% with suffiecient notice of travel dates
