Job Summary: The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring that Gunter Construction Company remains in good financial standing. The Financial Controller will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.Duties/Responsibilities:Prepare financial statements and reports.Ensure compliance with reporting requirements for sales and use taxes for various states.Responsible for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, company reviews, helping to drive the companys financial strategy and hiring needs.Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization.Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing compliance, and taking action.
