Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating project activities. Accountable for using best practice project management methodology to create project plans that fulfill stakeholder needs and deliver with-in budget on desired outcomes. Focus efforts to manage a large multi-faceted project or multiple projects at the same time resulting in specified deliverables. Ability to acquire, develop and manage project teams and ensure quality control throughout project life cycles.
Responsible andAccountable for:
Responsible for leading, planning, managing and directing project teams consisting of various development and integrated teams to accomplish the objective of a project
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed cross-functional project plans and schedules
Ensures all milestones are met timely
Applies project development methodologies and reporting technologies to indicate project status
Recognizes area of conflict and contention and takes steps to avoid risk
Identifies and mitigates project risks in order to successfully meet project objectives
Communicates with project team and executive sponsor on ongoing status, milestones, successes and project risks
Review and approve of project testing strategy, approachand plans
Manage change control process
Maintains the project work plan
Ensures tasks are on time and following the implementation schedule
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate professionally, concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing to staff, executive management and external business partners
Must be extremely well organized and possess excellent communication skills
Possess an excellent analytical, strategic and financial acumen
Ability to think strategically, draw logical conclusions and exercise decisiveness
Possess a mix of integrative thinking, technical skills and leadership presence
Ability to translate strategy into action with solid planning and execution
High degree of accuracy with attention to detail, strong drive and a proven ability to work independently
Ability to assess the operational performance at multi-dimensional levels; and partner with all lines of business for strategic meaning and opportunities
Strong business/product development skills
Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
Education, Experienceand Certification:
Education:Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
Experience:5 to 7 years of progressively more responsible projects relatedexperience in a sales and marketing financial culture
