Specific Requirements:
Xylem / Evoqua Water Technologies is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer for our Holland, MI facility. Candidates must have a proven record of demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion to understand the fit and function of mechanical assemblies. Be able to prepare engineering design calculations, fabrication/assembly drawings, detailed part/machining drawings, and customer layouts per design specifications using drafting tools and software.
Candidates must have the ability to:
Lead an engineering team of up to 5 engineers/designers in the execution of project deliverables. Assist the Engineering Manager on assigning/scheduling work activities for the engineering team. Manage schedules for the engineering portion of the project scope of work. Complete complex drawings to suit engineering requirements, initiates engineering changes, and creation complex products/equipment. Performs dimension/specification determination necessary on complex drawings for effective manufacturing. Performs the design of cost-effective products with adherence to applicable industry and customer standards/specifications. Performs review of engineering drawings and supporting documents for adherence to drafting standards. Selects materials-of-construction based on application and design calculation.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge and Experience:
Successfully demonstrates thorough advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Generally, 8+ years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Experience with 3D modeling in Inventor and/or SolidWorks is required. Experience in a fast-paced engineer-to-order environment
Salary range:
$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
