Job Description

An experienced Warehouse Automation Department Manager with oversight of a state-of-the-art automated warehouse. You will implement safety, productivity, quality, and customer service standards to achieve the appropriate level of volume within time requirements. Additionally, the Warehouse Department Manager is responsible for oversight of the shift team (training, safety, performance goals, organizing/assigning work, and maintaining a positive environment.

We are looking for a person with supervisory experience who can learn new automation strategies, develop their teams, and create new procedures within the department(s). The right candidate can motivate their team to increase efficiency and automation usage, leading by example using servant leadership principals.

Shift Strategy: Rotating 12 hour shift strategy (4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off). Positions on day and night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operates in close collaboration with outsourced Logistics Operations providers and internal organization. Planning Ordering, Purchasing and Customer Account Specialists in local region

  • Ensures optimum inventory levels; conducts physical inventories for verification of inventory levels.

  • Determines staffing requirements; ensures effective recruitment, training, and retention of key staff to enable staff development.

  • Manages/oversees effective warehousing according to needs.

  • Manages commitment methodologies and processes.

  • Generates necessary documentation, including activity/status reports, operation review input, and excess/obsolete analysis.

  • Administers company policies, including yearly performance review, that directly affect subordinate employees.

  • Create and submit claims for AMAT lost or damaged materials and assist suppliers with their parts claim
