The Manager, International Supply Chain - Canada is an enterprise-wide role that will assess, optimize and maintain the market's supply chain strategy for all Inspire Brands restaurant operations in Canada (currently Arby's and Baskin-Robbins). This position will focus on developing and managing Inspire Brands distribution, contract manufacturing, and supplier networks in Canada to ensure the uninterrupted supply of food, paper and supplies to the Inspire Brands restaurants in Canada. This role will lead efforts to drive the lowest landed cost for delivered products through local sourcing initiatives, logistics optimization, and inventory and obsolescence management. The role will also be responsible for developing, negotiating, and contracting local supplier relationships and programs. Managing the performance of the key suppliers and the supply chain through established KPIs, and creating value through supply chain synergies created by the complete portfolio of Inspire Brands will also be key deliverables of the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage supply strategies and programs required to operate Inspire Brands restaurants for all menu items and paper/cutlery/dry goods.
Collaborate and strategize with International and Canada marketing and operations field leadership teams to execute brand programs for all Inspire Brands operating internationally in Canada.
Develop and execute local sourcing for specific brand required products. Interface with International Culinary, QA, and Commercialization to ensure that products meet requisite brand standards.
Act as Supply Chain lead within the cross-functional Inspire Brands Business Team(s).
Act as primary Supply Chain contact for all Inspire Brands Canada franchisees and participate as Supply Chain lead on all Canada franchisee advisory councils.
Manage, track and report on the distribution service Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Implement and manage corrective action plans with distribution related complaints and substandard service.
Ensure compliance with all terms, conditions, and parameters established within distribution and supplier agreements. Includes such elements as monitoring production schedule attainment (for contract manufacturing), inventory levels, and minimum order quantities.
Evaluate inbound logistics/freight management opportunities and implement improvements.
Utilize technology/visibility system to accomplish required tasks and ad hoc projects, reports, and analysis.
Monitor and report on distribution drop size, delivery revenue, backhaul revenue, cash discounts and other distributor revenue streams.
Manage preparation and execution of semi-annual business reviews
Administer semi-annual distribution survey and drive continuous improvement
Evaluate risk in conjunction with suppliers' and distributors' distribution disaster preparedness plans.
Manage distribution transitions and implementation of related contracts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. / B.A. degree in Business, Supply Management or related field
Five years of equivalent or related experience
Understanding of distribution and logistics in the foodservice restaurant industry
