Position Summary As a Radiology Technologist, you will work under the direction of a radiologist, performing complex professional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will obtain high quality radiographs, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality. Assist radiologists or other staff physicians in the performance of diagnostic radiological procedures whenever required. Responsibilities include:
Ability to administer and document contrast and IV contrast according to standards for patients of all ages
Moves portable x-ray machine to patient care areas and obtains diagnostic images on patients of all ages
Competent in the use of Fluoroscopic equipment, portable, general radiographic equipment and procedures
Must have completed formal radiologic technology training at an AMA approved school
Must have met ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registry requirements and be currently registered and hold an active state license or be registry and state license eligible
Must be able to maintain accurate records and adjust to use of new methods, techniques and equipment
Must be trained in Pain Management procedures and Fluoroscopy C - arms
Be able to cope with stressful situations and handle deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced medical environment
Able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing
Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer
Must be able to move, lift, or carry light objects frequently and move with assistance -very heavy- materials and/or patients occasionally
Must be able to work autonomously unsupervised and have Excellent Customer Service skills.
