Summary You will serve as the Supervisory Security Officer within the Command Staff of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR. Responsibilities You will Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective considerations of assignment difficulty and requirements, and the employee?s capabilities. You will supervise subordinate security specialists exercising full authority to manage, plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee the workload of the department. You will be required to coordinate security services to a large geographical area and complex client base. You will be required to manage multiple security disciplines (personnel, industrial, force protection, information, etc.) and situations requiring an in-depth knowledge of security regulations. You will be responsible for all security concerns for the respective fleet logistics center personnel stationed at headquarters and the command's detachments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analytical, planning, advisory, operational, or evaluative work that has as its principal purpose the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss. Specific duties include the following: (1) reviewing and implementing current executive orders and instructions as they relate to Personnel Security, Information Security , Industrial Security, Force Protection, Physical Security, and Antiterrorism to ensure compliance; (2) develop and implement new security standards and procedures; (3) performing site visits and inspections to ensure security procedures are being met and to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities; (4) leading a working group of security professionals to successfully administer a comprehensive security program.
