Waste Connections, Inc. has an opening for a Part Time Transfer Station Attendee at our J&J Sanitation location in Ord, NE. In this position you will be working at our transfer station providing customer service with the public, operating equipment and doing basic labor work. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty and are a self motivated, hard working individual with good communication skills we want to talk to you!
Position is Monday through Friday day shifts. Shift times are 7am-12pm.
Responsibilities Include:
Helping customers
Operating equipment
Flagging / Directing traffic as it comes through.
Continuously interacting with customers.
Other duties as assigned
Ideal candidate will possess:
Good customer service skills
Willingness to do other assigned tasks on a need basis
Outgoing and patient attitude
The ability to stand outside throughout a 10 hr shift.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Experience in operating a pay loader and/or other heavy equipment
At least have 1 year of work experience, preferably in a blue collar environment where customers service skills were needed
Must pass drug screen and pre-employment background check.
