Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, facilitating Healing Care activities and services related to cancer services for ProMedica Cancer Institute
Develop a calendar monthly, outlining the Healing Care services available to cancer patients, families, and significant others.
Collaborates with Healing Care practitioners to develop services designed to meet patient needs.
Promotes and participates in Healing Care services for patients.
Maintains statistics for Healing Care Program attendance, services, etc
Participates in Performance Improvement/QA activities
Seeks opportunities to promote the Healing Care Program
Maintains expertise and competence in Healing Care interventions.
Follows established department policy in relation to the orientation criteria and continuing education expectations to ensure the department standards are met yearly.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills: Must be able to communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Must be able to work independently.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in nursing
License: Registered Nurse
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Certification: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN), or willingness to achieve within 3-5 years of hire.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in oncology.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to work in self-directed environment with attention to detail, follow through, and has moderate level of computer skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Exposure to expected hospital conditions. Must be able to tolerate use of contact precautions.
Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and computer use. Regular exposure to patient care environment. Must be able to move about the office between workstations.
