We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative intern to join our marketing team during the summer of 2021. You will have an opportunity to develop and implement marketing campaigns, collaborate on product and brand management strategies and market research. This internship will help you grow your professional skills and broaden your experience as you contribute to the marketing group and our company-wide goals.
The summer Marketing intern program with Vulcan is designed to provide students hands-on exposure to daily marketing operations, product management, project management, cross-functional teamwork, and research. The successful candidate will be a self-directed, results-oriented and customer focused individual and will have a strong interest in working with our business full time upon graduation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials.
Work with the Business Development Managers in developing and implementing strategies and tactics to position differentiated product offerings across online properties.
Work directly with the Vulcan Senior Marketing Manager and Creative on developing digital assets and email campaigns.
Assist with creating marketing presentations for training and sales meetings.
Evaluate and update Dealer and Representative digital content accuracy on Vulcan web properties.
Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Enrolled in Marketing or equivalent degree-seeking program with classroom experience through the sophomore year.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
GPA of 3.2 or above.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
Team player with a positive attitude, high motivation, and solid decision making
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment that values an entrepreneurial spirit
