Responsibilities

As an Information Security Analyst you will work with software development, system engineering, and Information Assurance teams to perform security engineering tasks adhering to Risk Management Framework requirements to achieve a government accreditation. You will serve as a subject matter expert related to architecting and deploying all or a combination of any of the following security infrastructure systems: vulnerability scanning software, host-based security services, auditing solutions, and identity management. This hands-on technical position requires an ideal candidate to work tasks with minimal supervision under the direction of the Information Assurance team lead. In this position, your in-depth knowledge and understanding of the ICD-503, NIST 800-53 and CNSS 1253 security controls required to implement and manage monitor all security aspects of an information system.

Education/Qualifications

  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance and ability to maintain the clearance.

  • Must have BA/BS in an engineering or computer science field (or equivalent experience)

  • Must have 8-10 years of related security engineering experience serving as a Security Engineer designing, implementing, and supporting software architecture development in accordance with software assurance requirements

  • Current in at least one of the following 8570/8140 IAT certifications (Level 1 IAT or higher)

  • Security

    • CCNA
  • CND

  • SSCP

  • GICSP

  • Experience implementing and designing Access and Identity Management solutions, auditing (Splunk) and systems monitoring, vulnerability management (Nessus), HBSS, AWS Cloud computing and services

  • Experience with government RMF and accreditation processes

  • Linux and Windows engineering experience
