What You Will Do: Understand business objectives. You will thoroughly grasp the organization's goals and objectives to ensure that the output from the advanced analytics team align with the strategic priorities of the business
Translate Technical Jargon: You will translate complex data findings and technical concepts into language that non-data scientists/ business users can understand, facilitating informed decision-making
Facilitate Collaboration: You will foster collaboration between data scientists and business leaders to drive business value effectively
Identify opportunities: You will identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics to solve business challenges and drive innovation, proactively seeking to extract value from data
Drive Actionable Insights: You will distill data insights into actionable recommendations and strategic initiatives, empowering decision-makers to implement data-driven solutions the drive business value
What You Have:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree, preferable in Accounting and 4+ years of accounting experience
Business Acumen : A deep understanding of Caterpillar business operations, industry trends and organizational goals is necessary to ensure
Data Literacy: A strong understanding of data concepts, analytics techniques and ability to interpret data findings and translate insights into actionable recommendations
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Stakeholder Management: The ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including data scientists, business leaders and other team members and drive effective collaboration and consensus around data-driven initiatives
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Project Management: Ability to effectively plan, co-ordinate and manage data projects from inception to completion
Presentation Skills: Proficiency in creating a compelling presentations and delivering engaging discussions to diverse audiences including executive stakeholders and team members
Problem Solving: A knack of identifying and solving complex business problems using data-driven approach
Basic understanding of Python, Statistical analysis and SQL to help with data exploration, understanding analytics methodologies and comprehension of analysis techniques employed by data scientists
