PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Senior Marketing Manager, Credit Cards at one of the following locations: Tysons, Virginia; or Omaha, Nebraska. The primary purpose of the Brand Manager will be to drive strategy, development and execution of marketing initiatives to support credit card marketing in alignment with the overall PenFed brand. This position will be responsible for delivering against a range of KPIs to drive awareness, consideration, and applications as well as drive the creativity and innovation of marketing initiatives and messaging to ensure business goals are achieved.

Develops the overall product marketing strategy that incorporates consumer insights, situational analysis, and competitive research used across multiple channels to reach PenFed's goals and drive growth specifically in consumer credit cards
Requires expert-level understanding of the full marketing mix
Demonstrates an ability to learn new markets quickly, and can adjust to changes in market dynamics and competitive landscapes, optimizing campaigns as needed
Owns creative consumer messaging and value proposition development for new marketing campaigns across all marketing channels
Manages full execution of marketing strategy including media, out of home, OTT, digital, direct mail, sponsorships and promotions to deliver on goals; has strong understanding and experience across these channels
Measures campaign effectiveness through data analysis, evaluates opportunities for improvement, and makes recommendations for future campaigns
Works closely with cross functional teams, including product, PR, digital experience, internal design, agency partners, business analytics, finance, procurement, compliance and legal to ensure consistency, accuracy and alignment on all brand efforts
Oversees budget, forecasting, and reconciliation for credit card marketing
Drives cross sell marketing for credit card among existing members
Leads meetings, presentations, task-forces, and marketing communications for product initiatives and assigned projects
Maintains competitive analysis on credit card marketing creative
Participate in new and ongoing credit card projects as needed
Ongoing review of processes and procedures, identify workflow improvements and efficiencies to improve speed to market
Demonstrates ability to produce creative ideas and elicit creative ideas from others
Willingness to take feedback from product and management teams in an objective manner and incorporate into creative as necessary
Supports branch, event and merger efforts through campaign and media support
May travel/attend PenFed sponsored Events which require representation
Assists with other marketing department projects as needed
This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
Minimum of seven (7) years campaign management and marketing experience in the consumer credit card industry; including but not limited to campaign development, campaign implementation, test and learn methodology, digital marketing, member centric insights, competitive intelligence, and campaign performance analysis
Familiarity with credit card regulatory requirements
Demonstrated marketing & strategic analysis skills with an ability to map and understand business drivers
Working understanding of credit card portfolio profitability
Expertise in marketing strategy and project management principles and practices
Excellent communications, conflict management, and negotiation skills
Must possess a strong work ethic and be an enthusiastic team player
Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
