Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER PUGET SOUND (FLCPS) OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND. Responsibilities You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist overseeing daily operations including logistics and supply support, warehousing, transportation, and Governmentwide commercial Purchase Card at Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton and Bangor. You will provide guidance and advice on functional requirements and obtain policy clarification and decisions on processes that impact operations. You will develop, prepare, and coordinate publication of applicable International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures for customers, local Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) instructions and notices, and standard operating procedures. You will plan, direct, and coordinate supply operational activities that involve procurement equipment and supplies, conducting inventories, issuing supplies and certifying the procurement of official credit card purchases. You will direct procurement, processing, and overall supply management, which will support and directly affect another agency's ability to accomplish their primary mission. You will serve as the Approving Official for the purchase card card program in support of customers. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply Management Specialist work applying a wide range of well-established supply and hazardous material management principles, concepts, and regulations to analyze, evaluate, and resolve supply management/procurement issues or problems and insure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply, inventory management, and distribution and storage operations. This experience includes assisting in the initiation, development, implementation, and interpretation of supply policies and directives for a variety of work situations involving various levels of supply control, and leading a team by balancing the workload among employees taking into consideration the complexity of the work in comparison to the skill level of the employee in order to complete the overall objective of a mission. Examples of Qualifying Specialized Experience: 1) Planning and determining current and future supply hazardous material requirements to meet customer needs; 2) Participating in analyzing supply metrics and operations to resolve difficult issues and problems involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures (inventory distribution and storage) in support of critical material for submarines; 3) Inputting budget and manpower requirements in the applicable supply databases; 4) Participating in coordinating the objectives and plans of supply product and service programs; 5) Assigning work based on priorities, considering the difficulty and requirements of tasks and the capabilities of subordinates.
