Earthmoving Division's product lines play a significant role in helping our customers build a better world. Earthmoving Division has an exciting career opportunity for you as a Value Chain Planning Engineer within the Value Chain team. Our vision is to provide operations and value chain solutions that transform product strategy into reality.
As a Value Chain Planning Engineer, you will lead efforts aimed at driving agility, flexibility, and visibility across the entire network to deliver products and services to our customers with the highest safety, quality, velocity and world competitive cost. Additionally, you will deliver results related to inventory optimization and improved assurance of supply.
Specifically in this role you can expect to:
Develop and implement Earthmoving inventory strategy to support availability targets.
Work with other supply chain functional areas to continuously improve product and material flow plans, focusing on increased throughput efficiency, increased velocity, improved availability and increased inventory turns.
Engage in Demand/Supply alignment activities as needed and sponsor efforts to resolve constraints which requires the ability to collaborate across cross-functional areas and negotiate complex solutions.
Lead and manage the deployment of projects centered around OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA) as applicable.
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic qualifications):
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university related to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Statistics or Business.
At least 6 years of job experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory / Value Chain Management or Engineering
Top candidates will also bring:
CPS, Six Sigma Black Belt or project management experience
Previous experience with inventory modeling
Previous experience with or exposure to Earthmoving products
Previous experience with or knowledge of NPI program deployment or leadership.
Previous experience in or exposure to Supply Chain Planning and / or Integrated Value Chain implementation
Experience as a strong collaborator including interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common value chain processes across multiple facilities
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems
Experience with data mining and working with large data sets
APICS, CPIM, or CSCP National Certification
This position may require up to 20% travel.
