Job Description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Pipeline/Maintenance Technician for our Dale, NY office.

Be involved in projects with our Underground Storage Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

  • Making Safety a priority goal.

  • Daily Rounds and performing minor maintenance to equipment.

  • Starting and Stopping pumps manually and with a Human Machine Interface (HMI)

  • Electronic Data Entry

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Mechanical experience

  • Basic Electrical experience

  • Ability to work Safely with Co-Workers.

  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.

  • This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • Individuals seeking this position should be comfortable working with computers. The candidate will be required to work a rotating shift. This candidate must be capable of following and writing procedures. The candidate should have good communication skills and will be expected to deal with operations personnel from other organizations as well as WSP customers and vendors.

  • The candidate must adhere to established safety and operational procedures. The position reports to the Facility Supervisor.

  • Personnel should be able to perform maintenance tasks as required to keep the facility in operation.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull 75 pounds.

  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions.

  • Able to work in close quarters, work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.

  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, FRC).

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk & climb.

  • Use various hand tools and calibration equipment.
