The CO+I Physical Security team is organized within the Cloud Infrastructure Solutions and Services (CISS) team and is dedicated to delivering the most trustworthy security program to protect the personnel, infrastructure, data, and confidential information foundational to the Microsoft Cloud. The Physical Security Business Operations, Strategy and Standards team is seeking a Senior Security Operations Program Manager, responsible for leading scalable projects and programs for physical security operations standardization, optimization, and innovation. Senior Security Operations Program Manager manages business critical projects, processes, tooling development, and operational procedure assurance for our worldwide critical infrastructure including datacenters and leased collocations. This position is responsible for working directly with numerous internal and external teams, including regional Physical Security partners, security technology engineers, security vendors, Risk, Threat and Incident Management, Legal, Datacenter Operations, and customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services across a wide array of stakeholders and priorities.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver results through influence, collaboration and teamwork, role model our Microsoft values with a passion for diversity and inclusion.

  • Lead projects focused on standardizing, optimizing, and innovating the security operations program.

  • Ensure assigned projects are prioritized and delivered in accordance with established requirements, deadlines, and company policy.

  • Function as a trusted datacenter physical security subject matter expert, within Physical Security and the broader CO+I organization.

  • Engage with customers as appropriate to evangelize and represent Microsoft's datacenter physical security program.

  • Collaborate with peer teams and organizations to ensure the security operations organization is aligned with broader strategy and initiatives.

  • Author updates to Security Operations Procedures and runbooks, review requests and updates to documents, and contribute to Physical Security Baseline (PSB) updates.

  • Continuously seek to improve and maturity of the overall physical security program.

  • Recommend strategies and ideas to reduce evolving security risks, optimize processes, implement a creative solution to a problem, scale, automate, and simplify.

  • Provide programmatic guidance to select and implement measures to reduce identified risks, drive execution of mitigation strategies and methods, measure the effectiveness of the actions taken for the risks.

  • Develop and track Objectives and Key Results that have positive impact on the security program, Microsoft infrastructure, business, people and assets.

  • Develop policy, procedures, and guidance as necessary to support successful security operations and ensure programmatic audit readiness.

  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and protect Microsoft information without question.

  • Deliver assigned projects in accordance with established requirements, deadlines, and applicable employment law and company policy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field.

  • 5+ years' experience in security operations with an understanding of physical security design, installation, and auditing.

  • 5+ years' experience with regulatory and industry compliance frameworks and audits (e.g. International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001, Payment Card Industry (PCI), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: - Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Security Risk Management, or related field AND 8+ years' experience in Security Program or Program Management

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Industry security certification, such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP).

  • Project Management certification, such as Program Management Professional (PMP).

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products for business.

Security IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
