The Fleet Service Manager works under direction of the Vice President of Fleet to establish comprehensive objectives and strategies for their assigned site. The Fleet Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that the assigned fleet is maintained in a safe and efficient manner. The Fleet Service Manager is also responsible for the efficient operation of the assigned maintenance shops.
In this role, you will:
Lead the daily maintenance operations for multiple shops and a fleet of more than 500 units
Make daily decisions on how to effectively repair vehicles and equipment and direct the work of up to 10 technicians
Have daily communications with our customer and vehicle operators keeping them constantly informed about repair costs, schedules, and fleet related activities
Provide direction to our staff communicating with them on key aspects of our performance and company initiatives
Serve as the primary onsite leader
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
At least 5 years of related experience
High school diploma or its equivalent
Be organized, self-motivated and highly principled with superior interpersonal communication skills to effectively motivate staff, promote professionalism and develop good working relationships at all levels.
This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history check and drug screen
