Job Description
Caterpillar's Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology (RISST) team is seeking a Human Resources Manager. This role serves as an HR business partner to senior commercial leaders with global organizations and will leverage HR team members and HR shared services support to provide strategic support across these client groups. This role is responsible to ensure adherence to human resources policies and procedures while initiating HR process and program improvements. In addition, this role is an important member of the RISST HR team and ensures alignment and coherence with strategic business and people strategies.
Job Duties:
Actively participate as a strategic partner on assigned teams, ensuring HR is an integral part of the business strategy
Provide direction to Management in interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices, and procedures, as well as international laws if applicable, governmental regulations, and internal reviews to enhance consistency and maintain and improve the work environment
Manage and report on people metrics including headcount, promotions, International Service Employees, and turnover
Lead a variety of HR initiatives at a divisional level: strategic workforce planning, compensation administration, performance management calibration, etc.
Play an integral part in the Employee Insights Survey (EIS) results through integrating cultural values in the day-to-day business activities
Provide directives considering the impact upon the company (nancial), employee engagement, and consideration for the future (new practices, policies, and procedures)
Research, benchmark, creating strategic initiatives, and design implementation strategies to improve business unit results
Coordinate programs for management recruiting, training, selection, reward, and recognition
Assist managers in addressing individual and organizational effectiveness matters
Basic Qualications:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related eld
8+ years human resources job-related experience, preferably in a large, matrixed organization
Top Candidates will also have:
Condent oral and written communication skills. Resilient and exible
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Able to maintain a high level of condentiality and exercise good judgment
Uphold strong Values and portrays a positive attitude to support employee relations
Workday (HCM) Software experience is strongly preferred
Advanced level experience with Microsoft Ofce applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to consider both traditional and non-traditional approaches to human resources management
Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inuence others
Broad knowledge of various HR functions including benets, recruiting, employee relations, training, and development, workforce planning, compensation, and interpretation of company policies and procedures
Additional information:
The location for this position is Tucson, AZ or Peoria, IL .
Relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 25-30% travel.
