Position Description

This senior analyst will be on a dynamic team supporting Navy's Perform-to-Plan (P2P) process at the Arlington, VA location (this position is eligible for occasional telecommuting). Serco supports the U.S. Navy as a prime for their technical contract that supports Navy's P2P program as a readiness planning and performance analysis process to improve maritime readiness by clearly articulating performance gaps, identifying barriers, and developing potential solutions to achieve an integrated, enterprise approach to maintaining readiness and supporting
America's National Defense Strategy.
You will be part of a 10 - 12 member team that works closely with the customer to ensure that Navy focuses on the most impactful performance drivers to achieve readiness while identifying key opportunities to better achieve measurable outcomes in the most efficient manner.
In this role, you will:
Assist Naval Sea Systems Command staff with data collection and presentation to support P2P processes:
Document and disseminate results of quarterly P2P updates and in progress review (IPRS) briefings
Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders across the Navy to ensure that action items assigned by senior leadership are completely timely and entirely
Provide executive level status updates in the format of slides, summary papers, metric scorecards, analytical reports, fact sheets to concisely articulate the program's accomplishment
Perform analysis with spreadsheets, graphs, and pivot tables
Apply process improvement methodologies to support root cause analysis as needed (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Re-engineering)
Identify industry benchmarks and best practices relatable to performance deficiencies and recommend courses of action to remove encountered barriers
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
An active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree (4 years' additional experience substitutes for a bachelor's degree)
7+ years of experience with commercial and/or government (U. S. Navy) organizations in the areas of data analytics, process improvement, strategic planning, driver-based performance management practices, and program design (a master's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, information technology, or organizational change equals 3 years' experience)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with Navy organization structure, especially OPNAV and NAVSEA
Ability to interpret analytical data to extract business insights
Ability to work independently; technically competent
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to tasking
A plus for succeeding in this position would be any of the following:
Experience with organizational change and U.S. Navy fleet experience
Experience in Operations Research and/or Data Analytics
Experience with MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools (QlikView, Tableau)
