Arcosa Marineis searching for aSenior Welding Manager!In this role, you will provide the Marine division with welding and technical support, such as training and qualification, welding process trouble-shooting, and welding process improvement and innovation for three manufacturing plants. The Senior Welding Manager will have proficient people interaction skills. This individual will be able to apply working knowledge of industry welding codes and specifications.This position reports directly to the Director of Quality.What you'll do:Work to develop and enhance the current welding program.Assist with welding procedure specifications in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.Work with all weld managers at each location.Write and maintain internal welding standards.Provide technical classroom welding training to welders, supervisors and welding technicians.Provide hands-on welding support to welders, supervisors, and welding technicians.Troubleshoot routine welding technique and equipment issues.Evaluate, propose, and implement welding process improvements to increase welding efficiency and quality.Network with internal associates, suppliers, and customers to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Participate in internal welding audits/other duties as required.Travel to the three manufacturing plants in the U.S.QualificationsWhat you'll need:Advanced knowledge of robotic welding.Knowledge of welding processes, weld filler materials, and base materials.Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 procedure and performance qualification.AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or capable of achieving within one year.Advanced knowledge of welding processes.Proficient with routine trouble shooting of welding processes/equipment, use of amperage/voltage meters, wire feed meters, and gas flow meters.Proficient using various visual weld inspection tools such as fillet weld gages, undercut gages, etc.Able to perform as project manager.Must be able to read and comprehend codes, specifications, procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, bill of materials, test reports, etc.Strong written and oral communication skills.Effectively present information, and, work with managers, sales, suppliers, customers and plant floor personnel.Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
