Serco is seeking a talented Radio SME, Army Tactical Comms engineer to join the team! Telework eligible! Your communications engineering expertise is needed to solve technical and policy challenges facing tactical radio communications systems for the Army's current and future forces.

Serco will support the US Army Program Executive Office: Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T) and the global warfighter C5ISR support plan. You will be a key leader in a team of 200 to 350 engineers, specialists, logisticians, and trainers to provide services to Project Manager Tactical Radio (PM TR), Readiness Management Division (RMD), and the constituent Product Offices with Material Fielding, Integrated Product Support, Platform Integration, New Equipment Training and Field Support services.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a Radio (SME) in support of this contract's Integrated Product support (IPS) deliverables

  • Develop Training Support Packages (TSP), Technical Manuals (TM), Computer Based Training (CBT), training aids, etc.

  • Serve as working leader to personnel and will be considered an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements

  • Review, assist, and mentor employee's work for quality, accuracy of work

  • Provide communications engineering expertise to PEO C3T in pursuit of technical and policy solutions to tactical enterprise and local area C5ISR challenges facing the Army's current and future forces

  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support

  • Be a subject matter expect (SME) with regard to next-generation technology insertion strategies and integration planning of future C5ISR capabilities

  • Provide analysis and assessments and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T global warfighter C5ISR support plan

  • Perform tradeoff studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems implement and test such methodologies and devices

  • Serve as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements

  • Assures non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An active DoD Secret clearance

  • A Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related scientific or technical discipline

  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience with tactical radio communications systems to include the following; SINCGARS Radio Set to include legacy ASIP Radio Sets, AN/PRC-148(V)2 and (V)4s, AN/PRC-152s, High Frequency (HF) Radios Sets to include the AN/PRC-150 and AN/PRC-160, Legacy SATCOM Radios such as the AN/PSC-5C and the AN/PRC-117F/G, software defined radios such as the AN/PRC-154A/C, AN/PRC-155, AN/PRC-148C, AN/PRC-163, AN/PRC-158, and AN/PRC-162 and Tactical Networking Radios such as the AN/PRC-166, AN/PRC-168

  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience working with the planning of tactical communications waveforms such as SINCGARS, Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW), and Tactical Scalable Mannet (TSM), and network planning software such as the Harris CPA, JENM, ACES, RAP-TR, Black Sails and ATOM

  • Requires technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support

  • Position should be an SME with regard to next generation technology insertion strategies and integration planning of future C5ISR capabilities

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience in Field Engineer support of Tactical C5ISR systems in an OCONUS region supporting units in combat operations and/or advise/assist missions is preferred
