WSP has a career opportunity for a Senior Construction Quality Assurance Technician with our Elko and Reno offices. Project locations could include Nevada, Montana, Idaho and Arizona.

Our opportunity is for an experienced construction quality assurance technician to primarily work on large heavy civil construction projects - liner and earthworks- Projects include per-diem and expenses for travel. Opportunities require extended travel during construction season in the specific project geography. Typically April-November as weather permits.
Your Impact
Will perform soil density testing, geosynthetic liner observations, collect samples and perform lab analyses at the on-site lab
Will provide daily reports of observation and test results
Will monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications
Will interact with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites
Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Other duties as required by business needs
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of construction quality assurance experience
Reliability - must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
Ability to prepare reports and documentation
Ability to work in variable outside conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability and willingness to travel within Western States to support projects. Approximately 50% to 75% overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
MHSA certification
