Position Description
Serco is looking for a part-time Full Stack .Net Developer to join the newly formed Enterprise Technology Group. This group has been charged with finding opportunities where digital technologies and information can create new customer value.
The Full Stack Developer will work with a fast-paced micro development team delivering micro applications designed to collect data and deliver decision quality analysis. The Full Stack Developer will report to a Senior Engineers and will operate in a Lean Agile environment A high degree of teamwork, collaboration skills, and personal integrity are required.
This is a hybrid role, working at times out of the HQ office, located in Herndon, VA.
In this role, you will:
Effectively managing time to assure commitments are met and customers are satisfied
Backend / Server-Side Development (ASP.Net/ C#/ MVC/ Web aplication/ RESTful API
Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions
Develop high quality, well-factored code in a small Agile Team
Collaborate with Business Analysts, disparate user groups / development teams to help gather and define requirements
Troubleshoot and respond to system issues when required
Responsible for ensuring these systems are developed and run in such a way that they are robust, reliable, and maintainable from the start, applying techniques such as unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing, and system monitoring
Manage stakeholder expectations appropriately and ensure that these expectations are consistently met or exceeded
Educate and influence stakeholders, customers, development, and engineering teams on effective solutions and best practices.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance
10+ Years' experience with .NET with C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
10+ Years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL with strong knowledge of the SQL language
10+ Years' experience with government contractor systems (Deltek Cost Point, Govwin)
Some experience with the Azure cloud is a plus
Experience with Agile methodology
Some DevOps experience is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
Customer support and requirements gathering skill
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer facing interaction skills
