We are looking for an IT Acquisitions Buyer who will play a key role in the Global Technology Services group, responsible for purchasing IT equipment and software licenses for our users. Responsibilities include quoting, ordering, and creating purchase orders. Candidates should have proven interpersonal skills with a track record of establishing collaborative business relationships with multi-functional teams within an organization; the ability to evaluate IT products to meet prescribed specifications and have effective communication skills to work with all levels of management and staff. This role will report to the Supervisor, IT Acquisitions. What you'll do here: The IT Acquisitions Buyer performs IT procurement activities associated with computer software, hardware, and telecommunications. + Handle hardware/software requests and issue purchase orders within assigned limits. + Expedite orders as needed, track deliveries, resolve shipping errors, and maintain accurate records. + Follow up with suppliers concerning order status and communicate information to appropriate departments. + Consult and collaborate with Desktop Support, Finance, and relevant departments. + Accurately document Service Now tickets, purchase orders, and other business systems. + Complete special projects as assigned. Skills you will need here: + Some college or previous Purchasing/Procurement experience - 2+ years preferred. + Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience working in Service now is a plus. + Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with an emphasis on attention to details. + Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills. + Accountability, capacity to self-motivate, and willingness to problem solve. + Ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
