The Electronics Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst provides critical leadership for the Electrical and Electronics Category Team and support for the Electromechanical Category Team to deliver cross-segment sourcing strategies for the larger ITW organization. The Analyst will play a significant role in managing projects and providing project support for sourcing events that span multiple Segments of ITW, where synergies crossing common supplier base or materials are to be explored and leveraged. Self-management and capability of supporting negotiation preparations, advanced sourcing tactics such as value engineering, assessing supplier capabilities, and experience in purchasing operations are expected.
In this role, the Sourcing Analyst will act as a resource to mine and analyze data across multiple ERP systems and utilize standardized tools such as MS Excel and Market Intelligence Portals to synthesize marketplace information into a cohesive sourcing strategy. General working knowledge of one or more of the following commodity categories will benefit the performance of the individual in this role: PCBA's, Electronic Components, Cables, Wire Harnesses, Electrical Components, and Various Mechanical Components.

Key Deliverables:
Data mining and analysis
Take existing internal and external data and evaluate and communicate anomalies and
opportunities
Resolve internal and external data calculation errors and validate final calculations
Provide comprehensive analysis to support strategic sourcing solutions
Create and maintain the Components database
Utilize third-party tools to drive data cleansing and standardization
Coordinate RFQ's
Work with ITW divisions to obtain and validate commodity sourcing requirements
Work with the supply base to ensure a timely and efficient RFQ process
Create a comprehensive analysis of supplier quotations to aid in the sourcing selection process
Market Analysis
Capture commodity market data and create comprehensive market and supplier summaries that will aid in sourcing strategies.
Track commodity shortages, price increases, Force Majeures, and other events to ensure supply continuity.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in a science-based discipline
Minimum 2 years of work experience in direct material sourcing, supply chain, engineering, or operations capacity
Familiar with the Strategic Sourcing Process and experience in project management
Ability to work in a decentralized organization
Knowledge and experience of Design for Manufacturing and VA/VE are desired
Fast learner that demonstrates strong business acumen and strong communication skills
Ability to bring disparate data from multiple sources and cleanse, categorize, and synthesize to a dataset to help drive meaningful analytics and strategies
Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office
Willingness to be in person in the Glenview office and willingness to travel as needed
