As a Material Specialist you can expect to communicate, receive, or ship material from vendors to customers with a high level of quality in a safe an expeditious manner and to accurately document material movement.

What to Expect:
Responsible for putting safety first . Order and safely deliver all material to the appropriate locations ensuring right part at the right place at the right time in the right quantity and quality using various material handling equipment including counterbalance, reach truck, picker, tug and turret machines. Responsible for scheduling safe, cost effective transportation and processing accurate paperwork for outbound delivery of international and domestic shipments for all types of materials Receive and troubleshoot exceptions for transactions related to MRP, pull and SDPO parts Manage, create, and track complex SAP and computer material movement transactions. This includes understanding of how transactions interact within all systems and processes. Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to material movement, report discrepancies and recommend solutions. Perform other tasks and projects as required including the following:
Responsible for IRA/ILC Negatives. Run 902/ILC/Age Sensitive negative reports. Use data from reports to verify stock and correct inventory in SAP.
Responsible for ILC and bulk ordering/bulk auditing. Receive ILC through JIT process. Reorder empty ILC Kanban's to restock hardware, which includes bulk. Run audit reports for, ILC, Bulk and verity's stack against reports.
Responsible for hardware grief. Verify stock on empty hardware bins, adding part number information to grief file. Research available stock, work with material planner for grief parts, research ILC shortage report, verify on-hand stock and identify critical shortages for resolution.
NCR Coordinator: Create and process NCRs in SAP. Process out and dispose of material in SAP. Support processes for dispositioning rejected parts.
Grief Coordinator: Order, track and deliver grief parts, monitor and deliver on shortage reports and process, research red tag and deliver parts from the grief rack or to the appropriate kits or work centers and support the SORT process.
Conduct IRA and cycle counts for inventory record accuracy, and emptying hoppers and dunnage

Shift: 3rd Shift - 10:00PM - 06:00AM CST
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Compensation: Grade L02 Hourly; $19-21.00HR+ $1.25HR Shift Differential
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 35 lbs frequently
Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks
Work at multiple heights
Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices
Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, rotating
Use of hand tools including band cutters and box cutter
Operate material handling equipment (i.e. counterbalance, turret, reach truck, picker)
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists
Environment:
Limited exposure to welding fumes and noise levels of 85db or greater
Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures
Work in tight spaces
Required Personal Protective Equipment: hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed/metatarsal foot gear, bump caps and protective material handling equipment including safety/fall harness.
