Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the INDUSTRIAL SUPPORT DEPARTMENT, INTEGRATED SUPPORT LOGISTICS (ILS) DIVISION of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will be responsible for providing ILS products and services for multiple Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) SUPSHIP Activities for ships currently being constructed at multiple commercial shipbuilding yards. You will direct, coordinate, and oversee the SUPSHIP ILS Divisions programs, functions, and operations at all locations. You will serve as the second line supervisor to submit employee awards, position classification changes and recommendations, along with performance standards and employee evaluations for all ILS personnel. You will develop the strategic/annual plan for the SUPSHIP ILS Program and assure its execution by monitoring the performance of its subordinate divisions. You will share responsibility and accountability with the Director for staff direction and accomplishment of all departmental program activities in accordance with laws, policies, regulations and acceptable practices. You will participate in all aspects of the mission including program planning, direction, control, coordination, direction, administration, and execution of the Department?s programs and any other plans required to execute the strategic plan. You will develop and recommend controls to ensure that the Department operates within its budget. You will direct, coordinate, and oversees work of supervisors. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of Qualifying Specialized Experience: 1) Providing oversight for the integration of Integrated Logistics Services products and services in support of Ship building conversion and repair activities; 2) Prioritizing ILS requirements to ensure maximum support within resources provided for ship building conversion and repair and new construction programs; 3) Providing guidance and expertise to different command officials and commanding officers to improve supportability of ships, systems, and equipment; 4) Supervising a team of ILS employees performing ship building conversion and repair and new construction ILS related activities.
